A simple Tarnbreeder in Hochburch on occasion founds some odd colored eggs in the nest of the tarns he breed, he every now and then, kept some of the eggshels after the bird where hatched, the man even though a simple tarnbreeder had a keen eye for beauty , and on some long winternigths when the birds are taken care of for the day het would take some of those egg and broke them in shards , polishing them and covering them in a clear ressin which made them more sturdy on some of the larger pieces he would even carve the image of some of the great birds he so loved and devoted his life to.
At times as his slaves had done well or one of them or any other of the city has pleased him , he would hand over a shard of the shells, telling the slaves who he handed it , “do not be fooled by what you see slave , what you hold now in your hands might be britlle and fragile as even you could grind it to dust in your hands, but consider this for the bird it contained onces this shell was as strong and protective as the great walls of Ar itself are to its people, it might seems worthless as it is, but it is priceless aswell as onces, it contained and nurisht life itself.”
